Technohull Adds A New Mega RIB To Its Lineup

At the 2019 Miami International Boat Show speedonthewater.com got an up-close look at the latest Omega 45 RIB from the Greek-based Technohull. The luxurious rigid inflatable boat was powered by triple Mercury Racing 400R engines and, thanks to Ivo Vassilev of KMB Yachting, the Miami-based US dealer for Technohull, the team was able to snap some great pictures of the new model and gain a deeper appreciation for the boat’s amenities and construction techniques during a walk-through on it at the docks in front of Miami Marine Stadium.

Now, thanks to Vassilev again, speedonthewater.com received news that Technohull’s Explorer 40—the newest mega RIB from the Greek shipyard—is available with either diesel inboard or gasoline outboard engine options.

Not surprisingly, the new addition, which is pictured with a pair of Mercury Racing 450R engines and available with twin Mercury or Yamaha outboards, shares the sleek profile that distinguishes Technohull RIBs, as well as the teak deck, carbon-fiber elements and high-end marine upholstery our team noticed in the 45-footer at the Miami show.

Check out the pictures above for more images of the new 40-foot Technohull RIB.

“What makes the Explorer 40 different is that the entrance of the cabin is located next to the helm, instead of at the front of the console,” Vassilev said. “Clever engineering makes good use of the interior space. The new back-to-back seat design allows for three forward-facing bucket seats, a stern-facing bench, which also hides a wet bar and a fridge, and several clever storage compartments.”

For more information on the new Explorer 40, which is 40 feet long and 11 feet, 5 inches wide with a fuel capacity of 200 gallons, contact KMB Yachting at 305-776-7036 or online.
